The remains were identified as those of Celeste Rivas, a 14-year-old who has been missing since 2024.

D4vd first came to prominence on TikTok before he began releasing music including his hit Romantic Homicide

At the time of the discovery of the remain he was on a US tour. The remainder of the tour was cancelled, and D4vd pulled out scheduled appearances in Australia. He was also dropped from marketing campaigns with retailer Hollister and footwear company Crocs.
