The musical ‘We Will Rock You’ is returning and will be back in Perth in November.

The new Australian production have just announced the cast with musical theatre star Gareth Keegan taking on the leading role of Galileo. He’ll star opposite Erin Claire who’ll play Scaramouche.

Eighties rock star Brian Mannix is also in the cast, the former lead singer of Uncanny X-Men and ‘Flying Doctors’ actor will play hippy librarian Buddy. While Casey Donovan has signed up play Killer Queen.

The show is being directed by Ben Elton who wrote the story for the musical to accomodate 24 songs from the rock band Queen. Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor were involved in the creation of the musical.

Since opening in London in 2002 the show has been seen in 17 different countries and attracted an audience of over 15 millions people. The show was last in Perth back in 2004.

‘We Will Rock You’ opens in Sydney at the Lyric Theatre on the 28th April before heading to QPAC in Brisbane on July 10th, Melbourne’s Regent Theatre from August, before arriving at the Crown Theatre in November. The shows final stop will be in Adelaide in January 2017.
