Kellene Elder – Pride Commitee 2007

Kellene ElderMy vision is that people see Pride as more than dance parties and festivals. Of course, that is a very important part of Pride, but we are so much more than that. We all really want to encompass and account for all aspects of our community. I’m also only interested in what we can do for our community this year, not what we have or haven’t done in the years that have passed… but what we can do as a committee, this year and beyond, standing together in solidarity to make a difference.

I have this really strong belief that our current committee will make an exceptional difference to our community. I’m so proud to be part of an already passionate and enthused committee. We have big plans – and we’re just the people to see them come to fruition. If you were to sit in on just one of our meetings your head would be spinning by the end of it. We’re all so excited about the difference we can together make to our community.

I’m hoping that people see me as approachable, I love people and I listen well. I particularly love hearing where they are in their life, their stories and their dreams. Talk to me about your own personal vision for Pride – we can make a difference together.
