Honey Lounge Closes

Honey Lounge, the LGBT bar in Leederville has announced that it has ceased trading.

The club which opened at the end of March announced it’s closure via a simple message on it’s Facebook page thanking all those that ‘came and partied, to all those who worked and helped and to all those who supported and encouraged.’

OUTinPerth understands that the bar has been sold to a new owner and that it will no longer be an LGBT venue.

The bar was previously the Double Lucky Bar for many years, but the owners tranformed it into a new venue in 2012 following it becoming home to the successful monthly Girlfriend. During it’s lifetime the venue hosted the BearWest festival, Pride WA’s monthly girl’s night Plush, OUTinPerth’s Campdown fundraiser and Pridefest Her party.
