In the Crate: Wasteland

Wasteland

Wasteland is the new resident DJ at The Court Hotel bringing his personal bootleg mixes to The Court’s massive outdoor beer garden. We caught up with the man behind the moniker.

How are you finding being one of the residents of The Court Hotel? Love it, one of the best venues in Perth! Never disappoints and have met some amazing people, and its always packed.

You recently signed a record deal; can you tell us anything about that? Yes, recently signed a deal with European label Cr2 records, with my first single called ‘City of Angels’ coming out at the end of January.

We read that you had an exciting start to the year, what happened there? Well at approximately 1:30a.m on New Years, I received a SMS from Australian dance music icon Hook n Sling. He had played my recent remix of ‘Bastille’ at Green Valley in Brazil, the world’s number 1 nightclub in front of 10,000 people, definitely as a massive start to the year!

What songs are you loving at the moment?

Cash Cash ft. BebeRexha – Take me Home (Original Mix)

Marcus Schossow, Mike Hawkins, Pablo Olliveros – Ulysses (Original Mix)

Syn Cole – Miami 82 (Avicii Edit)

Bastille – Of the Night (WasteLand Bootleg)

Big Gigantic – Touch the Sky (Original Mix)
