Queer Poetry Night Launched

Sparrow's NestPerth’s queer community has a new event to add to it’s social calendar, OUTspoken is a LGBTQIA themed poetry night that will be launched at The Sparrow’s Nest in Victoria Park this week.

“It’s something different for the Perth LGBTQIA community,” said Lara Wolinski from The Sparrow’s Nest.

“I think a lot of people have something important to say, whether they realise it or not, and we want to provide that platform. I hope it will help to bring people in the Queer community together, and eliminate that feeling of isolation and loneliness I’m sure we have all felt at some stage. Plus its a good way to meet like-minded people and have a bit of fun.”

OUTspoken is at The Swallow’s Nest from 7pm – 9pm, with performances starting at 7:30pm, on Thursday January 30th. Find out all the details on the group’s Facebook page.
