Annie Lennox Signs Up for NOH8 Campaign

Singer and equality activist Annie Lennox has thrown her support behind the NOH8 campaign.

The online campaign aims to promote marriage and gender equality through visual protest.

Lennox is a long time equality campaigner who has often used her work to highlight injustices in the world.

Among the celebrities who have taken part in the campaign are Josh Hutcherson, Alan Cumming, Indina Menzel, Ricky Martin and many others.

Lennox, who was in the bands The Tourists and The Eurythmics before launching a successful solo career, was awarded an OBE in 2010 by Queen Elizabeth II for her work fighting AIDS and poverty in Africa.

Lennox’s most recent album was released in 2010, it was a collection of Christmas tunes. Earlier this year she appeared alongside her Eurythmics partner Dave Stewart at the Grammy’s Tribute to The Beatles. The pair performed The Beatles classic ‘Fool on the Hill’.
