Pink Dot, Singapore’s popular festival to support the LGBTIQ community, has been been delivered in Hong Kong for the first time drawing a large crowd.
Over 10,000 people met in Hong Kong’s Tamar Park on June 15th dressed in pink to show their support.
Earlier this month Hong Kong refused permission for same sex marriages for British nationals to be performed in the British Consulate.
Civil unions and same sex marriages are illegal in the Hong Kong, where homosexuality was decriminalised in 1989.
Last year the Singaporean version of the event drew a crowd of more than 21,000.
