An Ohio woman is suing a sperm bank after they allegedly impregnated her with the incorrect sperm.

Jennifer Cramblett has reportedly filed against Midwest Sperm Bank alleging wrongful birth and breach of warranty this week.

Herself and her partner Amanda Zinkon chose the sperm of donor 380, who is Caucasian, but were accidentally given the sperm of donor 330, who is African American.

Cramblett and Zinkon reportedly discovered the error when they requestedmore vials of sperm from the same donor so that Zinkon could also carry a child.

In an interview with Fox 8 News, Cramblett, who spoke with her lawyers present, insisted that she is taking out a lawsuit not because she doesn’t love her daughter Payton, now 2, but because of the gross neglect carried out by the sperm bank.

“I am so upset that this could happen. This should never be able to happen.” Cramblett said.

The couple had reportedly chosen a sperm donor who looked like Zinkon so that the child would have resemblance to both parents.

“I was just floored by the fact that it was so easily messed up.” Cramblett said.

The couple are currently living in Uniontown Ohio, a town which, according to the lawsuit, is “small”, “homogenous” and “too racially intolerant”. They are reportedly planning to relocate to an area with greater diversity.

“I want her to be able to see people and know, ‘Hey, you’re just like me.'” she said.

Cramblett is also hoping that the legal action will prompt Midwest Sperm Bank to change the way they keep records. According to the Chigcao Tribune, the sperm bank keeps handwritten rather than electronic notes.
