Perth’s LGBT community gathered at Novotel Langley’s Riverside Ballroom on Saturday, August 28 to celebrate the second annual Pride Ball and Glammy awards.

The MASKerade theme encouraged some fantastic costumes, with Kitty Hawkins of Gay and Lesbian Equality (WA) taking home the prize for best mask.

The Glammy awards recognise contributions to Perth’s LGBT community and were presented by the evening’s host Narelda Jacobs and Pride co-president Charles Denham.

Glammy Award Winners:

Best Community Group: Freedom Centre
Outstanding Contribution by and Individual or Couple: Jude Comfort
Best Entertainer: DJ Cinnamon
Best Gay or Gay Friendly Venue: Coode Street Café
Freedom Centre Youth Award for and Individual or Group: All Things Queer (RTRfm)
Building Bridges Within or Between Communities: Northbridge History Project
Outstanding Contribution by a Youth Under 25 Years: Benn Dorrington
