Broadcaster Meri Fatin previously spoke to Nick’s mother Dianne as part of Empathy Museum’s A Mile In My Shoes project.

Now Fatin has interviewed Nick about his experiences with coming out, transitioning and the beginnings of Lawrence’s support organisation: Transmen of WA.

In 2015, Nick also shared his experiences with OUTinPerth, penning an emotional and honest piece about finding a sense of community, empathy and personal growth.

For more information about Transmen of WA, head to their website.

Transmen of WA will be celebrating Perth’s trans* and gender diverse community this Saturday at TransTastic: a talent showcase at Connections Nightclub from 6pm.
