James Morrison returns for an afternoon of jazz with host of talent

Perth’s newest jazz series has arrived, as Jazz On A Summer’s Day at Kings Park & Botanic Garden is announced with the first show of the season scheduled for March 2018 featuring James Morrison. Live on stage, Morrison is joined by the iconic Wendy Matthews, who is about to embark on a national tour.

Nestled inside the Botanical Gardens at the Pioneer Women’s Memorial, Morrison and Matthews will be joined by three of the hottest contemporary jazz performers of the moment. Vince Jones, an international landmark in jazz clubs since the late 70s, joins the event alongside British saxophonist and broadcaster YolanDa Brown. Brown also joins the event as the final show in the Australian leg of her international tour. They are joined by Perth’s very own starlet, Libby Hammer.

Audience members are invited to bring a picnic and enjoy the best Australian and International jazz currently on offer. With a mix of genre-bending, contemporary jazz on offer, Jazz On A Summer’s Day promises an afternoon for every taste.

Tickets are on sale from Ticketmaster on 21st December.
