Rammstein members kiss in Russia to protest Putin's anti-LGBTI laws

Two members of German metal outfit Rammstein have shared an on-stage kiss while performing in Russia.

Guitarists Paul Landers and Richard Kruspe locked lips while performing in Moscow this week, in protest of the country’s anti-gay propaganda laws.

Last month, a prominent LGBTIQ+ activist in Russia was found dead after her name was posted to a ‘gay hunting’ website – encouraging violence against known queer advocates.

The band shared the moment to social media, complete with the caption “Russia, we love you!”

The band have a history of supporting the LGBTIQ+ community on tour, flying the rainbow flag on a stop in Poland earlier this year in response to violence at a Polish Pride parade.
