The Assassination of Gianni Versace follows the story US serial killer Andrew Cunanan (Darren Criss), whose murderous spree ended with the death of fashion icon Gianni Versace (Edgar Ramirez).

Based on real-life events, and the book Vulgar Favors, the series also delves into the life of the gay fashion legend, his relationship with sister Donatella (Penelope Cruz) and the surrounding culture of homophobia in the 1990s.

The Assassination of Gianni Versace comes to Foxtel on Thursday May 24th at 6:30pm.
