Christina in Concert

Including a few older tracks alongside offerings from the new double album, Christina’s Back to Basics show was an earful as well as an eyeful. With Ms Aguilera nailing the high notes and commanding attention like a centre stage starlet, the jazz band on stage seemed almost another part of the set. Her voice, however, was merely the soundtrack to the real show, a full-on display of unapologetic sex appeal (a special, lustful mention to the Candyman number and the big screen bathtub shot). But Christina was not the only eye candy, and more than once, the eyes of the audience strayed from the headliner to the muscled backup dancers. Overall, however, it was Christina who was the ringleader of this show, as one lucky Perth man who was selected to come on stage and be pleasurably teased by Christina and her entourage can attest.
