Creatable World gives youngsters a blank canvas to create their own character, with over 100 different combinations of hair, clothes and accessories.

“In our world, dolls are as limitless as the kids who play with them,” the Creatable World ad announces.

“A doll line designed to keep labels out and invite everyone in. Making play more inclusive than ever before.”

Speaking with TIME, Mattel spokesperson Jess Weiner said the new range was a response to feedback from kids and parents.

“From the kids, they did not want their toys to be labelled… they don’t want rules set around their play,” Weiner said.

“And what we heard from parents was an increasing concern about genderising toys.”
