David Sedaris announces Australian tour

Sedaris David  hi res credit Anne FishbeinBestselling author David Sedaris is bringing his lightning wit to Australia for his third comedy tour in January 2016.

Sedaris is renowned for his insightful social critiques and sardonic tone. He has written a number of best-sellers including ‘Naked’, ‘When You Are Engulfed in Flames’ and his latest ‘Let’s Explore Diabetes with Owls’, a compilation of essays and ramblings from the depths of his mind.

His collected essays and radio specials can be heard on National Public Radio in the United States, while his written pieces often appear in The New Yorker.

The brother of comedian Amy Sedaris, David also recently made an appearance in the documentary ‘Do I Sound Gay?’ exploring the nature of the mythical “gay voice”.

‘An Evening with David Sedaris’ takes the audience through a selection of Sedaris’ new and unpublished essays and diary entries. Having received three Grammy nominations for Best Spoken Word and Best Comedy Album, ‘An Evening with David Sedaris’ is sure to be memorable.

David Sedaris will be performing at The Octagon Theatre at the University of Western Australia on Sunday January 24. Tickets available from Friday August 14 at ticketswa.com
