Diplo Discusses Madonna Collaboration

diplo2Producer Diplo has revealed that he has written seven songs for Madonna’s new album, although it’s not know if any of them will make the final cut.

Alongside his work in Major Lazer, Diplo has also created hits for M.I.A., No Doubt, Britney Spears and Justin Bieber.

Diplo spoke to the website Heloisa Tolipan and said;

“I do not usually feel pressured to write hits, but when an artist is of this caliber, it’s obvious that I want to push the boundaries a little further and surpass myself,” Diplo said via Google translation.

Diplo also said one of the potential tracks was titled, “Bitch, I’m Madonna”. We’re not sure if that’s a response to Britney with her catch cry of ‘”It’s Britney Bitch”  or Robbie Williams and the Pet Shop Boys who collaborated on ‘She’s Madonna’.

Meanwhile Madonna has released a teaser from the new album. The singer posted a short clip of an orchestra recoding a tune called ‘Messiah’ to her Instagram account.
