Dynasty Actress Kate O'Mara Dies

Celebrity CityKate O’Mara who played Joan Collin’s sister in ‘Dynasty’ has passed away in a nursing home in Sussex after a short illness. O’Mara was 74 years old.

After appearing as Cassandra ‘Caress’ Morrell in ‘Dynasty’ the British actress played The Rani in ‘Doctor Who’.

The Rani was an evil Time Lord who fought both the sixth and seventh incarnations of the Doctor.

In a recent interview O’Mara was asked which actress she’d like to see play the Rani in the rebooted ‘Doctor Who’, to which O’Mara responded that she thought she’d be perfect.

During her career O’Mara had leading roles in the TV series ‘Howard’s Way’ and ‘Triangle’ as well as many guest appearances on shows including ‘The Avengers’, ‘Absolutely Fabulous’ and ‘Bad Girls’.
