Get ready for Eurovision 2019 – here's all 41 songs in the competition

Eurovision 2019 in Israel is just weeks away and now every country competing in the competition has locked in their songs and artists.

Check out all the artists giving it a go, and get ready to rate them from 41 to 1 as you watch the action on SBS when it’s broadcast live.

What will make an impression and cut through? Could it be Australia’s Kate Miller-Heidke with her opera flavoured Zero Gravity? Will Armenia’s Srbuk bring all those shirtless men with her?

Could Azerbaijan’s camp glitterfest from Chingiz – see them succeed? Will one of the songs that sound like a current pop hit make the grade – check out the entries from Austria, Cyprus and Malta.

We can probably rule out Montenegro’s entry which looks like a 1980’s Jeans West comercial, and put a line through the ones that look like well known artists, Zena from Belarus is Billie Piper, Switzerland’s Luca Hanni is doing his best Ricky Martin impression and Norway’s Aqua wannabes Keiino are unlikely to make it.

San Marino’s Serhat is singing a song that urges us to “Say Na Na Na” which we’re pretty sure won’t make it past the semi-finals and we’ll quickly add “Hey Hey Hey – Goodbye”.

Could Darude – the most successful artist on the roster – take it home to Finland? Could queer teen Bilal be the champion for France? Could Italian X Factor winner Mahmood make his country proud?

Oddness always does well at Eurovision, and Iceland’s Hatari and Portugal’s Conan Osiris will be battling it out for the unofficial title of ‘quirkiest performance’.

North Macedonia are tapping into the zeitgeist with their feminist anthem Proud – a song for the #meetoo era, while Russia’s Sergey Lazgrev has a video that it totally G.O.T.

The competition is supposed to be apolitical, but it’s not really – so we’re guessing the United Kingdom’s Michael Rice stands no chance in the age of Brexit.

Latvia’s Carousel has little hope because their song That Night is annoying on the first listen, and Denmark’s Leonora has the most twee tune in the competition since Brotherhood of Man saved all their kisses for me.

Which ones are your favourites?
