The streaming service has announced the show will be available in 2020, and will follow on from Gadsby’s internationally acclaimed performance Nanette. The new show is named after her dog.

“I’m so excited to announce today that Douglas will be released on Netflix in 2020. I’m really enjoying touring with the live performance, but there will be places in the world that I won’t be able to visit, so it’s wonderful that Netflix will bring the show to every corner of the globe,” Gadsby said of the news.

After the success of Nanette, Gadsby suggested she might give up stand-up comedy, but she changed her mind and came with a whole new show.
