Addressing Australia’s process for delaying marriage equality on his show Last Week Tonight, Oliver described the $120 million dollar process as the biggest waste of money since the last Baz Luhrmann film.

In Oliver’s sights are Liberal MPs Kevin Andrews and Tony Abbott, Sophie York from the Marriage Alliance, Tasmania’s Astro ‘DJ Funknukl’ Labe, and the gay couple in Canberra who came out against marriage equality.

“At the end of the day its been a dispiriting pointless process.” Oliver said.
