'Just Wanna Dance with Somebody' Bebe Rexha name checks Whitney

Bebe Rexha name checks Whitney Houston on her new tune The Way I Am (Dance with Somebody), while collaborator Lil’ Wayne mentions Bobby Brown.

The tune references Whitney Houston’s mega-selling 1987 track I Just Wanna Dance With Sombody (Who Loves Me).

Houston died in 2012, drowning in a bathtub while intoxicated. She was married to R&B singer Bobby Brown from 1992 until 2007.

Rexha released an EP earlier this year titled All Your Fault Pt1, the new tune will be included on the forthcoming sequel EP.

Previously she’s appeared a s a vocalist on tracks by Martin Garrix and David Guetta. Rexha also wrote The Monster which was recorded by Eminem and Rhianna.
