New Book: Being Gay

On the 9th of November, John Hyde, MLA will be launching local Author Jeff Carroll’s book ‘Being Gay, A Conversation’. The book grew out of letters written by Jeff to an old school friend who struggled for many years to come out. Jeff, was inspired to rewrite the letters into a book in the hopes that it may be of help to young people who are struggling with their sexuality. ‘Being Gay’ is written in a conversational question and answer style, and Jeff says it is especially designed to help young people who might have some conflict with their faith.

The launch is in the conference room at City West Lotteries House and is sponsored by Uniting Care West, Uniting Church in the City and the Uniting Church in WA Social Justice Board. True Colours are providing entertainment, and it is rumoured that Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi will make an appearance.
