One man killed, another critically injured, via Grindr hookup

A Chicago man has been killed, and another man is critically injured after they were attacked by an assailant who allegedly used the Grindr dating app to target the gay men.

The Wayne Country Prosecutor’s Office ays 31-year-old Brian Anderson was fatally shot last Saturday and 26-year-old Malcolm Drake was critically wounded.

Prosecutors say they were targeted because of their sexual orientations and contacted using the Grindr dating app.

Police have arrested a 26 year-old Chicago man. Demetris Nelson was arraigned Friday on charges of first-degree murder, felony murder, assault and using a firearm during a felony. He was remanded in custody.
