Showcasing paintings predominantly of the Australian outback, Dixon promises variety:

“Oils, water colours and acrylics are all coming in. I taught myself to paint, I’ve never had a lesson, I just enjoy it. I always worry that people aren’t going to see what I’ve seen, that we’re going to lose it, if it’s on a canvas then it’s there forever.”

The exhibition will be a retrospective of Dixon’s past work plus his latest inspiration, pictured is Dixon’s latest piece, which will be up for sale with the rest of his work.

The painter will be donating part of his proceeds to the WA AIDS Council as well as the ELLIS house where the artwork can be viewed.

Painting mainly from memory, Dixon’s work hangs in private collections throughout Australia, London, Austria, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and New Zealand.

Dixon’s Art Exhibition ‘Paintings From My Travels’ will be showing from the 11th to the 28th of April at the ELLIS house. Opening hours include 10am to 4pm on Thursdays and Fridays and 10am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
