Abrams will couple with RuPaul’s Drag Race producers World Of Wonder to create a fictional version of the fabulous life of the world’s most famous drag queen.

The series is set to document RuPaul’s rise from a genderfucking club kid and punk vocalist to icon, role model and star-maker.

An early synopsis of the show notes it will focus on Reagan-era New York City, where RuPaul got her start on the underground club scene after leaving San Diego.

Ever the entrepreneur, RuPaul is already billed as a producer for the series.

Can’t wait for your next serving of Ru? RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 begins airing Saturday March 25th on Stan.
