AND THE BEAT GOES ON(LINE)!
For-Tomorrow online clothing store continues to forge the way in online retail. The coming summer sees the likes of Claude Maus, hot menswear label Fernando Frisoni and leather goods company Deadly Ponies join the fold. Returning labels Saint Augustine Academy and Trimäpee also promise to deliver some special surprises this coming season, as does the cooler than cool label Beat Poet. What makes shopping at F-T so effortless is the way the way the shopping experience is presented. ‘(By) using For-Tomorrow-TV edited runway video per item, we have put together a purchasing catalogue that no other online store has attempted before,’ explained F-T director Adam Muniz. ‘Specific garments on the runway can now be viewed in slow motion within each item listed online.’ This means you can see how the clothes were originally styled and where to take them from there. Add some amazingly affordable accessories (think crossbow ties, zipper neckpieces, constrictor bracelets and pewter brooches) plus gorgeous staple pieces (twisted pants and tailored long sleeve shirts) and you have a collection to die for. Be quick though – it’s sure to sell out fast! www.F-T.com.au

IN THE NIKE OF TIME
Sneaker freakers rejoice because Highs And Lows are getting some awesome footwear in this coming month. Top of the list? The Ultramarine Nike Air Max 180. Now, it’s an incredibly sensible looking sneaker as far as they go and is a veritable old-school silhouette straight from the archives of La House of Nike. It’s a timeless runner snazzed up with some pink accents, the whole thing rendered in a combination of suede and nylon mesh. It drops mid-July with a price tag of $220. However, personal fave has to go to the over-the-top eccentricity of the Nike Dunk High, a pair of kicks that kick it our in pure unadulterated white. There’s nothing as fresh as a pair of shining white sneakrs. All sneakers available from HALs in Mt Lawley and Claremont. www.highsandlows.net.au
