In an recent interview By George explained what the he expects the show will be the like.

“If Marge Simpson met Dolly Parton and went dancing with Ziggy Stardust, it wouldn’t come close to what you’ll see. Why now…why not? Why me…who else?” said Boy George.

The producers said the docu-series will capture Boy George’s new life in America, including dating, house hunting, embarking on Culture Club’s North American tour, managing Brando, his pop group, launching a vegan food line and juggling visiting family members. The intent is to begin shooting this summer when Boy George arrives in LA.

By George has sold over 50 million albums as a solo artist and in his role as lead singer of Culture Club. He’s also had a successful career as a DJ and published a regular podcast called ‘Club Culture’.

Culture Club are expected to release their new album ‘Tribes’ in the first half of 2015. A single ‘More Than Silence’ was released last year. The albums release and the band’s planned tour of the USA was delayed when Boy George discovered a polyp in his throat and doctors ordered him not to sing.
