SLEEP TIGHT (MA)

Directed by Mientras Duermes Spanish Film Festival

Cesar (Luis Tosar) is a concierge at a small apartment in Barcelona. He seems like a friendly guy and even does extra favours for one of the elder residents. So why is the daughter of one of the families blackmailing him? Like all good horror films, the reason is revealed ever so slowly. As the audience gets to see more of his afterhours activities we see what a dark and twisted character he really is. He is miserable and believes that only by making others unhappy will he have a chance of defeating his misery. Clara (Marta Etura) is the happiest person in the apartment block and the main target for his insomnia-inducing sabotage. Sleep Tight is the closing night film for the Spanish Film Festival which runs at Cinema Paradiso 19-26 July. Check out the program and book tickets on the Luna Palace website – and if you live in an apartment block with a concierge, check that your toothbrush is not wet in the morning.
