1222

by Anne Holt

Anne Holt worked for the police department before establishing her own law firm and then serving as Norway’s Minister for Justice, so she has had plenty life experience to help her become Norway’s bestselling female crime writer. Her thrilling crime novel takes place 1222 metres above sea level when a train derails. The 269 people on the train take shelter in a centuries-old hotel as one of Norway’s worst snowstorms rages around them. Narrating the story is a former police inspector by the name of Hanne Wilhelmsen, who has been confined to a wheelchair after being shot. The storm continues unabated for several nights and she needs to solve some murders by the time the rescuers reach them.
