Eurovision check-in: Delta gets a dance makeover

Eclipse, Delta Goodrem’s song for Eurovision has been given a dance makeover by Steve Anderson.

Anderson was one half of Brothers in Rhythm, who created some of the best remixes of all time for Michael Jackson, M-People, Sting and Kylie Minogue. He also wrote heaps of Kylie’s hits and has several as the musical director for her live tours.

Anderson creates a dance floor friendly version of Eclipse.

Delta’s not the only artist showcasing an alternative version of their song in the competition. San Marino’s contestant Senhit has headed in the other direction and put out a laidback acoustic version of her song Superstar. The original is a dance floor thumper.

The song also features Boy George, although we’re not entirely convinced that it is him in the video. It could just be someone in a hat. You be the judge.

Artists heading to Eurovision in 2026

Lets take a look at some of the artists heading to Vienna next month, including the representatives for Romania,

Romania putting their hopes behind Alexandra Căpitănescu with her song Choke Me. It’s a mix of heavy rock with operatic moments. Like many of the singer’s in the competition she found fame on The Voice.

Vanilla Ninja are the pick for Estonia, and it’s another solid pop-rock song with a big 80s vibe. Estonia have only won the competition on one occasion back in 2001.

The band comprises Lenna Kuurmaa, Piret Järvis and Kerli Kivilaan. It’s not their first time at Eurovision, they represented Switzerland in 2005, when they came eighth at the Grand Final.

Past Eurovision stars share new music

As Eurovision approaches all the previous artists who have built their profile through participation in the competition tend to release new music.

Tommy Cash has shared new song Figaro. He came third last year when he represented Estonia with song Espresso Macchiato.

Kyle Alessando also has another new track Backseat and it’s all about making out in the backseat. “Put your hands all over me” Allesandro pleads in the song.

The Eurovision Song Contest is scheduled to be held on 12, 14 and 16 May at the Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria.
