New Zealander Wins Mr Gay World

Mr Gay World 2013Mr Gay World 2013 has been won by New Zealand’s contestant Christopher Olwage.

Olwage beat 24 other contestants for the top title at the event which was held in Antwerp, Belgium.

It’s the second year in a row that New Zealand has won the title. Benjie Vasquez Caraig from Hong Kong was the first runner up and Matt Simons from the USA took the third spot.

Olwage, who is originally from South Africa, is well known in New Zealand where he works as a model, actor and dancer. He gained national attention when he auditioned for ‘New Zealand’s Got Talent’ performing as Stravinsky’s Firebird in a ballet piece.
