The Clique Arcade Stops Traffic

The Clique Arcade, a new website that promotes local fashion designers, got people’s attention on Friday night when they staged a guerrilla fashion parade down King Street.

The traffic-stopping fashion parade showcased the work of many local designers featured on the site.

The Clique Arcade is currently housing thirty local designers including Bhalo, Wild Horses, Emily Muco, Yeah TieDye, Jonte La Mode, Jessica Bratich and Palm Swimwear.

The online fashion retailer is hoping to have 60 designers selling their wares on the website by the end of the year.

The Clique Arcade was founded by brother-sister duo Ross Wyness and Storm Wyness. Ross said the website aims to make local fashion accessible and convenient.

“Free shipping on all products and a 24 hour funds transfer/ order dispatch system will be the key attraction for buyers.” he said.

“This means that each brand is essentially its own store, the money goes straight to the designer within 24 hours and the clothing purchased is sent directly from the designer”

“For the designer it means that they get to keep control of their stock and any sales a designer makes is in their account within 24 hours which is something unique to The Clique Arcade as no other Australian online vendors are currently providing this”

“The problem smaller labels face is that they do not get seen in the fashion marketplace let alone in an already saturated online market. Our marketing strategy drives buyers to our website where they will find quality Perth independent and emerging designers allowing our talented designers to be seen and compete with the larger players.” Ross said.
