Famous Seamus and Seantastic are brothers. Irish brothers at that. They form the duo Lords of Strut and their new show Chaos had audiences roaring at the Perth Cultural Centre last night.

Combining acrobatic athleticism and boyish charm these two lead the crowd in an exploration of the twisted world of self styled personal growth gurus.

The characters are clearly drawn and likeable. Famous Seamus is supposedly the talented brother, all sharp edges and spunk, while Seantastic is the sweet, furry and slightly befuddled sibling.

Audience participation is a highlight of the show and the lads had no trouble convincing people to take part in their hilarity.

In the spirit of doing ‘the do!’ Seantastic squeezes himself through the worlds smallest hula hoop and Seamus manages to drag Whitney Houston through a fan by her weave before offering himself in a sacrificial loincloth. Did I mention the nudity? That’s how I know which brother is furry (wink).

Clearly this was no Oprah extravaganza (no weddings were given away) and yet the audience left with undeniable smiles on their faces and the sense that they had been part of something slightly wonderful.

Lords of Strut are performing at Fringeworld until the 15th February. Do yourself a favour and catch them in action while you can.

Head to the Circus Theatre for Lords of Strut: Chaos until Monday February 15th. Tickets available at Fringeworld.com.au.
