Canadian mother records painful transphobic rap

Alberta mum raps about her transgender 'concerns' - YouTube - Google Chrome 24032016 101147 PM

A Canadian mother has recorded a transphobic rap outlining why she’s opposed to transgender children being allowed to use the bathroom of their chosen gender identity.

Alberta announced new guidelines for education providers in January which allow transgender children to use the bathroom of their choice and play on the sporting team of their preferred gender.

One mother, identified as M,H. Weibe on the video, created a rap song to share her thoughts about how unhappy she was with the new rules.

Singing, in a way which could only be described as ‘really badly’, the mother declares; “this is just a fender bender, all over sex and gender, do we really have to change our bathrooms, just for a few?”

In the lyrics of the song, the self declared mother of three, raps her belief that there could only be six or thirteen transgender youths in Alberta.

Warning: Transphobic comments and really bad rapping

The original post leads to a website for a group called ‘Families Should Know‘ who list out there objections to the new guidelines.

The group argues that all parents have a right to know if a transgender student is attending a school, including if a student is wearing clothing of a different gender or participating in sporting activities.

While the video is getting a lot of views on YouTube we doubt there’s much of a hip-hop career ahead for the Mum with the bad flow.  She could always become a popular meme though.
