The show will be at The Perth Arena in November for a very limited season of just six performances.

Inspired by James Cameron’s record-breaking film Avatar, Toruk – The First Flight by Cirque du Soleil will open at Perth Arena on Friday 24 November and perform six shows only.

Perth will be the final destination for the show after it visits Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide.

The show has been praised by film director James Cameron.

“Avatar is really meant to be a celebration of human motion and human emotion and Cirque is able to capture that absolutely perfectly, because it’s all about human performance and physicality.  It makes you feel alive to watch these performers,” Cameron said.

Tour dates

Brisbane Entertainment Centre: 5-8 & 11 –15 October

Sydney Qudos Bank Arena: 1922 & 2529 October

Melbourne Rod Laver Arena: 25 & 812 November

Adelaide Entertainment Centre: 16-19 November
