Sky News Chief Executive said Cameron’s comments were “totally unacceptable” in a media release announcing his departure from the network.

“Sky News is committed to robust discussion and debate however this language is totally unacceptable,” Whittaker said in a statement released on behalf of the network.

During last night’s program Cameron used several racist descriptions of Chinese people.

“If you go to the Disneyland in Shanghai on any typical morning of the week you’ll see 20,000 black haired, slanty-eyed, yellow skinned Chinese, desperate to get into Disneyland,” he said.

Cameron becomes the second member of the Outsiders team to be dismissed from the program. When the show was first launch Cameron and co-host Rowan Dean were a trio with former Labor leader Mark Latham. Latham left the program after launching a tirade about a video created by some Sydney school students in which he described a teenage student as looking gay.

Sky News has not made a statement on the future of the program which now only has Rowan Dean remaining from the original team. The show was recently moved to a late night timeslot and increased to six episodes a week.

Last year Ross Cameron delivered a controversial speech to the Q Society where he referred to the Sydney Morning Herald and the Sydney Morning Homosexual, and labeled the NSW Liberal party as a homosexual club.

Cameron was a minister in the Howard Liberal government.
