Equality Australia CEO Anna Brown listed in AFR's 100 Women of Influence

Equality Australia’s CEO Anna Brown has been listed in the The Australian Financial Reviews‘ 100 Women of Influence and been awarded the named the winner of the Social Enterprise and Non Profit category.

Prior to taking up her leadership role at Equality Australia Brown worked at the Human Rights Law Centre and was a leading voice in the marriage equality campaign.

On her Twitter account Brown said she was very honoured to be included on the list among so many inspiring women.

The Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence Awards presented by Qantas encompasses ten categories, with the aim of identifying a diverse group of women championing change in business and society.

Their goal is to uncover and promote Australian women who have dedicated their time and energy to help and encourage other women in their industry, and who are fighting for change every day.

Previously Brown has been a director of the LGBTI Health Alliance and convener of the Victorian Gay & Lesbian Rights Lobby. She has a professional background is politics and law.
