The New York City Commission on Human Rights have renamed Gay Street, near the Stonewall Inn, with a special installation called Acceptance Street.

The multi-coloured signpost now features Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Nonbinary, Pansexual, Two Spirit and + streets along with the original Gay Street sign.

The street just happened to have coincidentally been named Gay Street, but its proximity to the Stonewall Inn have made it a landmark to the local queer community.
