Casey Donovan & Vanessa Amorosi step up for 'Eurovision – Australia Decides'

SBS have announced the first two artists in the running to represent Australia and next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Australian Idol alum Casey Donovan and Absolutely Everybody singer Vanessa Amorosi will be two of our home-grown singers to put original tunes to the Australian public for a chance to be the fifth representative from down under.

Amorosi hinted to SBS that her submission will be one of the tracks from her latest album Back to Love, while Donovan has collaborated with songwriter Justine Eltakchi on Proud.

Australia has been participating in the European contest since 2015, with Guy Sebastian taking up the challenge the first time around. We’ve also sent Dami Im, Isaiah Firebrace, Jessica Mauboy and Kate Miller-Heidke along for a shot at the title.
