Cher releases star studded video for 'SOS'

Cher has released a video for her version of ABBA’s SOS and while she doesn’t appear in the clip she’s roped in a swag of female stars to take part.

The clip was directed by Jake Wilson who mimics the tones and style of ABBA’s 1970’s video for the song. Appearing in a line-up of 70’s inspired fashion is Rumer Willis, Betty Who, Transparent star Trace Lysette, comedian Sabrina Jalees and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend actress Vella Lovell.

The combination of the women lip-syncing to the tunes and the powerful imagery give the song’s lyrics a much depeer meaning, transforming the tune into a call for mental health support and empowerment.

Take a look at the clip.
