Drag Me to Broadway promises to be dazzling 55-minute mélange of mascara and musicals that will delve into the untold stories behind groundbreaking moments in theatre history, through Broadway’s fiercest classics and those iconic roles that put the art of drag centre stage.

The new show will feature the sassiest songs from Priscilla, the Rocky Horror Show, Kinky Boots and many more. Misdale’s no stranger to the musical world having starred in many big musical productions in recent years alongside their work in nightclubs, DJ and being a community leader through the Proud Awards.

“Musical theatre has always been a place where boundaries are pushed and stories of all kinds are celebrated, and let’s face it, history is draped in sequins!

“This show is where drag meets Broadway, not just on stage, but in spirit.

“I’m thrilled to share those iconic roles where we took a bold step forward and the incredible stories behind them, highlighting the power of drag in reshaping perceptions and inspiring countless people.” Misdale said.

Misdale’s career has seen them constantly in the public eye and breaking new ground for the art of drag. From appearing on the talent quest’s X Factor and The 100, to joining Adele on stage at her Perth concert, to topping the Australian iTunes charts with their recent hit Celebration, Misdale has had a string of achievements.

The trailblazing ‘singing drag-queen’ that calls WA home, become the first drag performer in Australia to play the role of Killer Queen in We Will Rock You: The Musical, followed by a stellar performance in the West Australian premiere of Priscilla Queen of the Desert: The Musical at Crown Theatre in 2021.

The show will run from Friday 15th January through to Saturday 23rd January at De Parel Speigletent at The Pleasure Gardens as part of Fringe World 2025.

Fringe Friends can purchase tickets from 14th November, while general public can access tickets from 21st November. Head to www.fringeworld.com.au.
