Elvis – Viva Las Vegas

Elvis was the number one attraction in the world’s number one resort, Las Vegas. In 1969, he performed 58 consecutive sold out shows before over 130,000 people breaking all attendance records at that time. These shows were his first live shows since 1961. Many fans saw an entertainer reborn and reinvigorated. This double CD is Elvis at the top of his fame, when he owned and was the king of the stage. CD one is a live recording of this time, but it is CD two that holds the magic lantern and lets us into the mind of the King. Track 10 (Monologue/Life Story) is Elvis setting the story straight or as seen through his eyes. It is this track alone that makes this CD stand out from the rest. Personal and moving, this previously unreleased concert was recorded at the International Hotel in Las Vegas on 21 August 1969. A must for fans both old and new!
