Franco is portraying Glatze, and Quinto his long time partner, Bennett.

The film is based from a 2011 essay published in the New York Times entitled ‘My Ex Gay Friend’.

Anticipation for the film has been building. On Thursday, E! published images from a sex scene between Franco, Quinto and Charlie Carver.

Franco today posted the above image to Instagram with the caption “#iammichael, directed by the great #justinkelley, starring me and the legendary, @zacharyquinto, PREMIERES AT SUNDANCE.”
