This special trek will see the singer/songwriter and her band winding their way around the nation from Cairns to Perth with strictly one show only in each and every place Missy and her band visits.

‘I’m excited to be heading out on the road with my band again. We had such a great time during the last tour. I can’t wait to get out and play in many of the regional areas as well,’ Missy said. Tickets for all dates went on sale at 9am on Tuesday August 14.

You Am I front-man, Tim Rogers, who will release his new solo album “The Luxury Of Hysteria” on his own label, Ruby Q Records in late September, will open proceedings on the tour.

Missy said, ‘I’ve been a long time fan of Tim’s songwriting and I’m really looking forward to having him along for the tour.’

The “…For One Night Only” tour will cap an extraordinary 2007 for Missy Higgins. Her latest album “On A Clear Night” topped the charts and is nearing triple platinum sales. Its lead single “Steer” also hit #1 and the second single, “Where I Stood” hits stores this Saturday on the back of huge national airplay. The disc has also received loads of critical acclaim both at home and overseas.

In fact last month one of the world’s most widely read and respected music commentators, US writer Bob Lefsetz, dedicated a whole issue of his newsletter to Missy and her music. He gushed about her “sense of melody” and the way she “touched our hearts with the truth”. To read the whole thing, click here.

Bob Lefstez’s words have drawn timely attention to Missy as she will be basing herself in the U.S. between now and the start of rehearsals for this big tour. “On A Clear Night” will see limited U.S. release in early October with a fullscale release next January.

The “…For One Night Only” tour will visit the following cities and venues and is presented by www.rovedaily.com.au
