The Australian LGBTI Awards are designed to showcase individuals and organisations that have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the LGBTI community.

This year QANTAS boss Alan Joyce, comedian Magda Szubanski, Beccy Cole, Conchita Wurst and Bindi Irwin were among those picking up awards.

Nominations are open until 30th September, after that a short list of nominees will be announced. The winners are decided by public voting.

The awards are now in their third year, during their history few Western Australians have made the cut, but maybe 2019 will be our breakthrough year.

Find out all the details at the award’s website.
