OUTinPerth Announces Photographer Competition

OUTinPerth, in collaboration with Pride WA Inc, Planet Video, Connections Nightclub and the Court Hotel are pleased to announce the inaugural queer emerging photographer’s exhibition. The exhibition ‘Coming Out’ has been developed to bring together the best of emerging photographers to celebrate the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans* and Intersex community of Perth during Pride month.

This is your chance to launch yourself with an opportunity for a full page photo feature in OUTinPerth, media accreditation for the 2007 Pride Parade and Party as well as a paid photography contract with Connections Nightclub to the value of $500!

All finalists work will be printed in large format (free of charge) and exhibited in the high profile Planet Video display window, Mt Lawley from the 24th of October to the 7th of November. The winner will also be exhibited at the Court Hotel and Steamwork’s exhibition ‘Coming Out’ to be held in November.

The competition is open to anyone with less than a year’s experience in professional photography/publication in print. Students are encouraged to apply.
