Pope Francis speaks out against rainbow families

Pope Francis has spoken out against rainbow families saying only heterosexual couples can create a family.

“It is painful to say this today: People speak of varied families, of various kinds of family,” but “the family [as] man and woman in the image of God is the only one,” the Pontiff said in unscripted remarks.

He also said that women should forgive cheating husbands, and acknowledged that sometimes it is husbands who had to forgive cheating wives.

Pope Francis made the comments while speaking to the Forum delle Famiglie, an Italian lay movement representing Catholic families.

The religious leaders is seen to be more liberal than his predecessors, and previously said he did not judge people for being same-sex attracted.
