Pride WA Business Sundowner

Pride WA

Dust off the martini glass and brush up on the small talk because Pride WA’s Business Sundowner ‘Fruits in Suits’ is back. The monthly get together will be held in the Brisbane Hotel’s Susan Comedy Lounge. The first meeting will be Monday, April 30th at 6pm.

Most recently at Skandalous, Pride Professional Network (formerly Fruits in Suits) has run on and off for a few years. Unfortunately, it was discontinued when Skandalous shut down, much to the chagrin of professional networkers. Pride has secured a new location and brought back the popular sundowner.

Iosefo Tapusoa, Pride Treasurer, said Pride Professional Network ‘is really about fostering an opportunity where business and professional members of the community can go and socialize on a level you don’t get elsewhere in the community’. He continued to say that gay and lesbian professionals, ‘can do a lot in acting as role models for young gays and lesbians who want to enter the business scene’.

The relaunch of Pride Professional Network will focus on the topic ‘Realizing One’s Potential’ and feature renowned artist Jo Darbyshire.

Pride Professional Network will join Pride’s other monthly women’s sundowner, as the Pride Committee continues to bring a full line-up of events to meet the needs of our growing community. So, professionals come down to the Brisbane for a highbrow evening next Monday and support Pride.

Event Details

  • When: The launch will be Monday, April 30th. The sundowner will then occur regularly the 3rd Wednesday of every month.
  • Where: Brisbane Hotel, on the corner of Brisbane and Beaufort St.
  • Cost: $5 for Pride members, $8 for nonmembers.
